Soon I will be start working on a project aiming to get a web application working on the principle of information as interlinking of data( not pages) in machine "processable" format. I am planning to write few blogs about it just to measure and track my own work. I will definitely be having very promising bye results as well...at least I hope!

So Plan is to first put views and invite discussion on the following -

1) Present prominent (considering the fact that web,WWW, is ever evolving with technology) form of web and its limitations.

2) Why web is evolving? and

3) What we upto to go semantic over web?

Few facts about work integrated learning program through BITS, Pilani.

In this post I am mentioning few facts related to work integrated learning program(WILP now onwards) MS degree. In the following points I would also like to convey answers of some commonly asked question about value/acceptance of the degree in the institutes of higher education in India and abroad.

All these facts are based on my interaction with BITS official during BITS orientation class held today.

Part A - BITS WILP off campus MS degree.

BITS do not make any difference between MS degree awarded off-campus or on-campus and both are considered as equivalent.
It has world wide acceptance. Hence after completing the MS degree one can apply for PHD in any institute of higher education.
In the MS degree awarded by the BITS, mode of education(off campus/On campus) does not appear (This point might be a concern for few aspirants ).
As the program is meant for working professionals hence there day to day part of work is assumed/considered as fulfilling the practical aspect required to award the degree.

Part B - General

There is no concept of supplementary exams in BITS. Hence, in case if some one has 'E' grade or RRC (Request to repeat the course) in any of the course in any semester then one has to register for that course in the next semester. It means extra course along with the regular courses of the next semester.
Before the final(i.e 4th) semester one must not have any 'E' grade or RRC for any of the prior 12 courses(i.e all the courses of three semesters). In other words, one must pass all the 12 courses before commencing Dissertation work in final semester.
Most important point, min. CGPA of 5.5 will be require for successful completion of the degree.

MS from BITS-Pilani

Recently my nomination for pursuing higher education with BITS Pilani for MS in Telecommunication and Software Engineering has been accepted and admission has offered. I have accepted it and now a student of BITS Pilani!, one of the esteemed institution, for which many engineering graduates/aspirants dream off.

This MS program is a collaborative work integrated off campus mode. That is -

1) Work integrated means, I can continue with my current job and can have classes on weekends.

2) Faculties will visit the pre-defined location and deliver the lectures, solve the problems and guide the students. It means education(Classes, Lab etc.) will not be in BITS Pilani campus but at the pre-identified locations near to the place of work.

3) This program is offered in collaboration with my current employer and all the cost of logistics will be borne by my employer, except 50% of tuition fees has to be pay by the applicant himself.

This is a great opportunity in my life! And I look up-to it to make it a big positive change in my career and hopefully I will carry it on to PHD with quality research and it's my dream too.

I am taking it as a wonderful opportunity that needs to be followed, executed and nurture to meet the aspirations.
